Get ready for one of the most exciting Cub Scout events of the year, the Pinewood Derby! This is a fun family event featuring a professional track master, 70 foot long four lane track, electronic start and precise timing.
Build Clinics
To prepare for the event, our pack will host two Pinewood Derby Build Clinics. Bring your car kit to the clinic. Dates are Saturday, March 9 and Saturday, March 16. Sign up HERE for a build clinic time slot.

Impound
All cars MUST be impounded before the day of the event. We will be impounding cars at the Pack Meeting on 3/28. You can arrive up to 30 minutes before the meeting time to impound your car. Each boy should choose a name for his car before the impound date. No changes or modifications will be allowed after the impound. IMPORTANT: if you will not be at the meeting on 3/22 you must make arrangements to impound your car before that date! Please contact Greg (qithoaenes @yahoo.com) or Chris (cpm1377@gmail.com) if you need to make alternate impound arrangements.
Race Day
Upon arrival at the Church on race day, you MUST check in with the track master. Check in begins at noon. Each scout will have his photo taken and record the name of his car with the Track Master. If you fail to check in on race day, you will not be entered into the race. Please arrive early and make sure to check in!

Hot Dog Sales: 12-2 pm
Food Sales
We will have a hot dog cart at our Pinewood Derby race. You can pre-purchase a meal ticket for $7 which includes a hot dog, chips, and a drink. Please pre-order your meal so we can get an accurate estimate on the number of meals needed. Payment via check to BSA Pack 227 or by Venmo @bsapack227
