Family Day At Camp Josepho

Fun family day at Camp Josepho in Pacific Palisades.
Cub Scouts can try BB Gun shooting, Archery, Holiday Crafts, Hiking, etc.
Registration includes all activities and lunch.

There is a small registration discount if we sign up as a group of 10.  Group registration is $20 pp.

Be sure to list the first and last names of all participants in the comment section and bring the fee to our meeting on December 10th.

If the group registration fills up, you can still sign up for this event directly through Camp Josepho.  The regular registration fee is $45 per parent/cub pair.

Pinewood Derby

It's time to get ready for Pack 227 Pinewood Derby!  Here's all the information you need to know to participate in this fun event.  It is a highlight of the Cub Scout year.

Mark your calendars:  Pinewood Derby 2016 will be held in the afternoon on January 30, 2016.
All registered Cub Scouts receive one official derby car kit and entrance into the official Pinewood Derby race.

Parents and siblings can race, too!  Extra kits are available for $5 each.  All non-scouts also pay a $5 entry fee on race day.  Parents and siblings can build cars using "modified" rules (see below).

The Derby will take place at St. Max in O'Reilly hall and is conducted by a professional track master.

Not sure how to build a Pinewood Derby car?  No problem!  Pack 227 will host Pinewood Derby build clinics on Saturday, January 9th, and Saturday, January 16th.  Both build clinics will be held at St. Max.  Tools and help available during the clinic.

Uniform Inspections

Uniform inspections will take place at our upcoming pack meetings on October 26, 2017.  Be sure to wear your full Class A uniform to the meeting.

Note:  The boys do not currently have membership cards.  We will be distributing these in the future. They are NOT REQUIRED for the uniform inspection!

Santa Comes to Agoura Food Drive

It's time for the annual "Santa Comes to Agoura" food drive.  Once again, Pack 227 will be helping with this worthwhile community event.  There are three opportunities for our boys to serve others.  First, we will be collecting food donations at Trader Joe's in Agoura on Saturday, November 14, 2015, from 10 am-4 pm.  Next, we will assist with sorting food on Friday, November 20, from approximately 4:30-8:30 pm at the Agoura Hills DIY center.  Finally, we will help pack and distribute food to the needy in our community on Saturday, December 12, from 8:30-10:30 am also at the DIY Center.  This is a required event for our scouts.  Each boy should sign up to help with at least one food drive activity.  If you are available for more than one shift, extra help is appreciated!  Boys should wear their full Class A uniforms.  This is our main service project of the year and we look forward to the opportunity to do a good turn for people in our own community.
