Pack 227 is chartered by Westminster Presbyterian Church in Westlake Village, CA.
- We meet twice per month, generally on Sundays from 3:30-4:30 pm at Morrison Park in Agoura Hills.
- We are an active pack with over 30 boys and girls in grades K-5.
- We currently have scouts from a number of area elementary schools, including Brookside, Red Oak, Oak Hills, Mariposa, Sumac, White Oak, Willow, and Yerba Buena.
- We have many dedicated volunteer leaders and are always looking for more! Cub Scouts is not a drop-off activity. All parents participate in our meetings and activities.
- Our Pack Committee Chair is Jennie Finerty.
- Our Cubmaster is Matt Hipp.
WHAT WE DO
We have fun! Our pack provides opportunities to participate in many exciting activities, such as:
- Two overnight camping trips per year (these are family camping events)
- Local hikes
- Community service projects
- Pinewood Derby
- Blue & Gold Banquet (celebrating the anniversary of the founding of Scouting)
FEES AND DUES
Pack Dues (2024/25) - $130
- Pack Dues pay for our program costs, including a pack t-shirt, den supplies, all Scouting awards earned throughout the year (badges of rank, adventure loops and pins, and other awards), pinewood derby, and more.
- Pack Dues are payable to the pack treasurer by Zelle (bsapack227@gmail.com) or check.
BSA Annual Membership Fees - $160
- Membership Fees are set by BSA (national) and Western Los Angeles County Council (local) and are paid directly to BSA during the online application or renewal process.
- You may elect to subscribe to Scout Life magazine (optional) for an additional $15.
- NEW SCOUTS
- Your Annual BSA Membership Fees are paid directly to BSA when you submit your online application.
- New members will be enrolled in a 12-month membership cycle, and your Membership Fees will be due each year on your anniversary date of joining Scouting.
- RETURNING SCOUTS
- Your Annual BSA Membership Fees are now paid directly to BSA through an online renewal process.
- You will receive emails directly from BSA starting approximately 60 days before your membership expiration date with a link and instructions on how to renew your membership.
- For scouts who joined prior to Fall 2023, your membership expiration date will likely be December 31, so you should expect to receive renewal emails from BSA starting in November.
- For scouts who joined in Fall 2023 or later, your membership expiration date is based on when you registered.
