We are so thankful that all of our Cub Scout families are safe after the devastating fires in our area.

Flag Ceremony at City Hall
As of now, the City Council meeting is still on for Wednesday evening.  Members of our pack will be leading the Pledge of Allegiance at the meeting.  If you signed up but can no longer attend, please remove your name from the online sign up form.

Kicking off a New Scouting Year

Come kick off a new year of scouting at our annual 
Rocket Academy Event.

Our pack has limited space available to register new scouts who are starting first grade.

Dues for '18-'19 are $150 per scout.  Boy's Life subscription is $12 extra.

Summer Updates

Summer is off to a great start for the Cub Scouts of Pack 227!  We had a roaring good time at our Zoo Sleepover and nine of our scouts "Owned the Podium" at Day Camp.  A big "Thank You" to all the parent volunteers who helped make day camp a success.  We had parents helping with set up, programs, den leaders, and clean up.  Way to go Pack 227!

On July 15th we will hold a Shooting Sports Day at Camp Josepho from 4-6 pm.  Sign up HERE to participate.  Cost is $25 per scout.  Please submit payment through Venmo @bsapack227.  If you need to pay by check, please contact pack treasurer, Chris Mansfeld (cpm1377@gmail.com), to make arrangements.  Sign up and pay no later than July 8th.  Scouts wear Class A uniforms to this event.

Our Donut Ministry continues throughout the summer.  Please help support our chartered organization!  All participants get a free donut!  Sign up HERE to participate.

Have you heard of the National Summertime Pack Award Pin?  Individual Cub Scouts can earn this pin by attending one Cub Scout event in June, July and August.  The pin is worn on the pocket flap of the Class A uniform.

End of Year Campfire Ceremony
Thursday, 5/17/18
Malibou Lake
Meet at 6:00 for fishing at the lake.  Bring your own poles and bait.
Ceremony will take place from 6:30-7:30.
Please bring a camp chair for each person & a skewer for roasting marshmallows.
Bring a lantern or flashlight because it gets dark very quickly!


Memorial Day Flag Placement
Make Memorial Day Meaningful!
Place flags on the graves of Veterans at Pierce Brothers in Westlake Village.

Hot dog lunch provided after event.

This will be a fun, interactive meeting as we celebrate the accomplishments of our Webelos.  

No Den Meetings at the Church in April.
Den leaders may plan off site activities for their Cub Scouts.
Look for a message from your den leader detailing any plans for the month of April.

Important Dates for Webelos Only

As Webelos begin to plan their transition to Boy Scouts, there are several important events.

Wednesday, January 10th:  Flag Ceremony.  This is a Webelos requirement.  
Webelos who can't attend should let Mr. Dato know.

Monday, January 15th:  Troop 485 meeting.  All Webelos are invited to attend the troop meeting at Westminster Presbyterian Church   32111 Watergate Road, Westlake Village
7:30-9:00 pm

Pinewood Derby is Coming


March 24, 2018
St. Max, O'Reilly Hall

Mark your calendars for this event.  It is one of the highlights of the year!
All Cub Scouts will be given a kit to build a pinewood derby car.
Kits will be distributed in January to allow for plenty of time to perfect your design!
Want to learn more about Pinewood Derby racing?  
Check out this drop in event sponsored by the Boy Scout Council.

Our pack will also hold a Pinewood Derby build clinic.  There you will have access to some power tools and advice from other Cub Scout parents to help you build your pinewood derby car.  More information about the build clinic will be sent soon.
